The Light Within

“Deep within us all there is an amazing inner sanctuary of the soul, a holy place, a Divine Center, a speaking Voice, to which we may continually return…gladly committing ourselves in body and soul, utterly and completely, to the Light Within, is the beginning of true life.” – Thomas KellyThis eight week group experience is all about connection with self, with others, and with God. Participants will be invited to explore their own spiritual journeys in a safe and supportive environment through different meditation exercises, group discussions, and biblical exploration. If you are searching for a space to talk about what matters, to cultivate meaningful and authentic relationships, and to explore you own spiritual journey this is a great place to begin. The next class will be held in the Fall of 2011.

Sunday Morning Drop-In Class (Sept-May)

On the first Sunday of the month we enjoy the Bistro hour (immediately following worship) with food, fellowship  and conversation.  The remaining three weeks adults have the opportunity to engage topics of global justice, theology and life stories.  On Drop-In Sundays please head back to the fellowship hall immediately after worship to grab coffee and a chair.  You don’t need to prepare or bring anything.  Most classes include a short video or other media to engage our conversation and learning.  Please feel free to invite a friend that might be interested in a particular topic.  Participation will allow you to get to know others in the church better and to make a difference as you gain new insights, share with others, and consider ways you may want to engage further.

Summer Education Series

This summer we will be using the book An Altar in the World, by Barbara Brown Taylor, as a focal point for our summer sermon series.During the week, there will be two different opportunities to gather for further reflection and discussion of each chapter.Check out the Facebook page for updates.
