Reverend Erin Gilmore has been the pastor at Holladay United Church of Christ since 2003. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College and Pacific School of Religion and was ordained in May 2003.

She is originally from Colorado where she was shaped and nurtured through the United Church of Christ as well as the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. She loves spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing, climbing, backpacking, camping,or simply sitting beside a mountain stream. She also enjoys cooking, swimming, yoga, spending time with friends, traveling, and finding ways to connect to community. She is married to Joe Norman, an artist and a teacher who shares her love of the outdoors. Erin's call to ministry took place over several years as she served in various positions of ministry with children and youth in churches, non-profits, and camp settings. She is passionate about community and creating safe space for people to experience the transforming love of God. She brings a progressive understanding of Jesus, the Bible, and the church that is centered on Gods radical and extravagant welcome. She is also passionate about issues of justice, and believes we are called to participate in the creation of a more just and loving world.

"My greatest love is making music with other people in many varied settings – from sacred, to straight up recitals, to informal rehearsal settings.  In addition to keyboards, I enjoy singing and have played trumpet in the distant past.  I can’t adequately describe how music allows me to transcend the boundaries of time and place, but I know that I have touched the eternal many times through music.  My hope is that I can share similar experiences with all of you at Holladay and that as a result we can grow closer to each other in worship."
