Ministries for Young People
Holladay UCC is firmly committed to providing a supportive and inspirational church home for our children, teens and young adults.
The congregation has put this commitment into action by authorizing a search committee to identify and call an associate pastor to strengthen our programs for young people.
During the search process, church members have stepped forward to lead the programs on an interim basis with a big helping of love and enthusiasm. These interim leaders are: Suzan Evenson – email@example.com, director of children’s faith formation; Kate Palmer – firstname.lastname@example.org, junior high leader, and Peter Christensen – email@example.com, senior high leader. The Church Council representative for faith formation and education is Shelley McCall – firstname.lastname@example.org.
Special youth or children’s activities are announced through the Tidings newsletter, and in Sunday worship.
Sunday School is offered every Sunday at 11:15 a.m. for all ages up to and including junior high. On Confirmation meeting days the start time is 11:30 a.m. and parents take turns providing lunch for children.
Senior high meets every other Sunday alternating with Confirmation, which is led by Pastor Fred.
Wednesday evening and Sunday morning rehearsals for children’s choir will be scheduled with singers by choir leaders.
